Melissa Kiser's gall bladder surgery went very well this afternoon and she should be discharged tomorrow.
Kim Yule and Family. Their house caught on fire and sustained heavy smoke damage. Thankfully no one was there but they did lose their dog. (Gene and Cindy Thompson's daughter who lives in Raleigh, N.C.)
Dalton Close is 15 years old and having surgery today to address fluid on his brain and take a biopsy of a tumor at the top of his brain stem. (Friends of Myrna and Don Linkous)
Gene Thompson is home now on Carilion hospice care. Thankfully he's able to keep his same equipment (ventilator and 2 concentrators) to provide the oxygen levels he needs. The double pneumonia in his lungs seems to be starting to break up some.
Charlene McKnight had a bilateral lumbar radio frequency ablation. She's been dealing with a lot of pain and nausea.
Josephine Martin's heart Cath erization went very well Wednesday - no blockages. She's home now and recovering. Thankfully they were able to do the cath through her arm.
Julia Parker will see Dr. Libsky at Duke May 12 at 1 pm for a consultation regarding her getting a 2nd opinion. Praise the Lord!
Angie Firebaugh has completed her 16 rounds of chemo. Praise the Lord! She's still on a journey. She will have now go through some radiation. She goes Wed. where they will map on skin where the radiation will go. She will start radiation week of May 12 and should be complete by June. Once skin has healed (if needed) surgeon will go back in and swap out the skin expanders for implants, probably late August/September.
Susie McGeorge had a TIA stroke Sunday and got out of the hospital Wednesday. Praise the Lord she doesn't seem to have any residual effects. They've put her on some mediation.

Randy Minnix has a 100% blockage in his left carotid artery. His right one is clear. They're going to treat with medication and keep an eye on it.
Cindy Cochran recovering from having 80% of her colon/intestines removed a few weeks ago.
Joe Sutliff is home and working to keep the fluid off of her heart and to alleviate the chest pains she experienced.
Sabrina Wood has a new back problem.
Juan Barr had some extensive blood work done recently and is still waiting for the results. He has a couple more tests coming up.
Krystle Weaver has 3 lesions on her liver. Going for an MRI.
Mike Black is having back problems and seeing pain management.
Shirley Milner is waiting on CT scan results.
Robert Mullins is home now praise the Lord. Pray for Katie now as she is having to give a lot of Robert's care - IV antibiotic, feeding tube, etc. Robert has a long road to recovery.
Wayne Deel is now having to put a type of cream solution on his foot where they took the cancer since they did a skin graph. He has to do this 2 times a day for the next 6 months to make sure the skin graph takes root!
Freida Sarver is waiting to hear heart monitor results.
Donnie Noel healing from his fibrosis lung disease and lower dose medication he's on now. He saw his urologist Thursday and he did a cystoscopy to verify no signs of cancer. This was a follow up from 2024 when he removed a small suspect tumor in the bladder. Everything looked good thank the Lord! Next follow up will be late July.
